Prep girls soccer: Monroe 3, Mount Vernon 0

MONROE — Peyton Fisher, Madison Bradley and Holland Aucloin each scored a goal and Christine Wendell chipped in two assists in Monroe’s victory in the opening round of 4A District 1 tournament on Saturday.

Monroe will advance to the semifinals to play Jackson on Tuesday. Mount Vernon has been eliminated.
