MARYSVILLE — A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Marysville early Tuesday morning.
No injuries were reported. The gunfire happened about 2 a.m. in the 4300 block of 88th Street NE, just east of State Avenue.
The shooter apparently targeted a house where a party was under way.
Multiple people were kicked out of the party, and a fight ensued, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.
The alleged shooter, who is from Everett, was with a group of people who left in a car.
The shots were fired as they fled, Lamoureux said. The car was recovered.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Marysville police were working to obtain a judge’s permission to search the car and the house for potential evidence.
The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault and drive-by shooting. That stretch of 88th Street NE was closed until about noon.
Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives assisted Marysville police with the investigation.
Anyone who was a witness or has other information is asked to call detectives at 360-363-8326.
