Friday’s prep basketball stars

Here are some of the standout performers from Friday night’s high school basketball action:

BOYS

Colby Kyle, Monroe. The 6-foot-7 sophomore had 17 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots in the Bearcats’ 88-69 Wesco 4A loss to Cascade.

David Woodard, Edmonds-Woodway. The 6-foot-3 senior guard scored 32 points and the Warriors nearly hit the century mark in a 99-71 victory over Shorewood.

Jake Kirschenmann, Cedarcrest. Kirschenmann scored 20 points and had 16 rebounds in the Red Wolves’ 73-62 victory over Sultan.

GIRLS

— Jayla Russ, Arlington. The 6-foot senior forward scored 28 points as Arlington defeated Juanita 71-64.

Natalie Rasmussen, Glacier Peak. The 5-foot-6 senior guard scored 21 points — on seven 3-point field goals — to lead Glacier Peak to a 71-55 win over Shorecrest.

Mikayla Pivec, Lynnwood. The 5-foot-10 senior guard scored 21 points as the unbeaten Royals improved to 6-0 with a 66-21 win over Meadowdale.
