Prep girls bowling: 1A/2A/3A District 1/2 Tournament

EVERETT — The Everett girls bowling team ran away with the 1A/2A/3A District 1/2 Tournament championship with a score of 2716 on Wednesday.
Everett’s Candice Goldfinch was the top individual bowler, rolling games of 257 and 245 on her way to a 683 series.
Everett nearly swept the top five, with Amanda Burton finishing third (542 series), Jojo Durr fourth (526 series) and Sammantha Durr fifth (522 series).
Ferndale’s Jessica Demorest finished second with a 567 series, and her team finished second with a score of 2186.
The Seagulls next head to the state tournament on Feb. 5-6 at Narrows Plaza Lanes in Tacoma.
