Lynnwood-area residents warned of sex offender

LYNNWOOD — A sex offender convicted for groping a stranger has moved to Lynnwood.

Sean Anthony Thompson, 41, is a Level 2 offender. He is living in the 5800 block of 203rd Street SW, according to a recent Lynnwood police bulletin.

Thompson was convicted in 2004 of indecent liberties. He reportedly groped a 19-year-old woman who was waiting outside a homeless shelter. A witness stopped the assault.

Thompson is described as American Indian, and about 5-foot-10 and 176 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is under supervision by the state Department of Corrections.
