Reel World Cinema Series: First Presbyterian Church of Everett, 3629 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, continues its series. The 2000 movie stars Ed Harris as abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock and Marcia Gay Harden as his artist wife.
Sunday films at Everett Public Library: “Grigris” by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, 2013, R, 101 minutes, French and Arabic with English subtitles, will be shown for free at 2 p.m. March 20, main library auditorium, Everett and Hoyt. Despite a bad leg, Grigris wants to be a dancer. His dreams are tested when his step-father becomes ill.

Independent Spirits Film Series: At 1:30 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month, the Everett Public Library’s Evergreen Cinema Society will screen contemporary classics for free at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way. On March 30 see “Maria, Full of Grace” by Joshua Marston, 2004, R. A pregnant Colombian teen becomes a drug mule to raise money for her family. The schedule is at epls.org. “The Long Night”: Photojournalist Tim Matsui’s award-winning documentary depicts how runaway or neglected kids are coerced and manipulated into joining the sex trafficking industry. Everett Public Library will host a showing of the film and a discussion at 2 p.m. April 9 in the library’s auditorium, 2702 Hoyt, Everett.
