North Cascades Concert Band: The concert “Sousa and All That Jazz” will be performed at 3 p.m. May 1 at the Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Donations accepted.
Northwest Scottish Fiddlers: This group of people from all walks of life performs free at 2 p.m. May 1 in the auditorium at Everett Public Library, Everett and Hoyt avenues. Music from Scotland, Nova Scotia and the Shetland Islands will be featured, on fiddles, guitar, piano and string bass, under the direction of Calum MacKinnon, longtime Scottish fiddler from Edmonds. The fiddlers have performed for several years to standing-room-only crowds at Northwest Folklife Festival.
Cascade Symphony Orchestra: Concerts are at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. For tickets, go to www.edmondscenterforthearts.org. More information at cascadesymphony.org. The final concert of the season, “Organ Symphony,” is 7:30 p.m. May 9 at Edmonds Center for the Arts. It includes the Saint-Saens Third Symphony, Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, and Four Last Songs by Strauss, featuring Kimberly Giordano, soprano.
Buddy, Ritchie and The Big Bopper: “The Day the Music Died,” featuring the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and JP Richardson, is at 7:30 p.m. May 13 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. Festival seating. Everett Philharmonic Orchestra: The “Listener’s Choice” season finale concert is 7 p.m. May 14 at Everett Civic Auditorium, featuring Villa-Lobos’ “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5” with soprano Ellaina Lewis and the Philharmonic’s cello section, and pianist Alexander Ardakov performing the Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor. Tickets, with discounts for groups, seniors, students and military, are available at www.everettphil.org.
Mill Creek Chorale: The 50-voice group’s spring concert, “Let It Shine,” featuring Broadway tunes and gospel songs, will be presented at 3 and 7 p.m. May 14 at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132nd St. SE, Mill Creek. Under the direction of Sean Berg, the chorale’s matinee will feature Cascade High School’s Vivace group. The evening performance will feature the debut of the Mill Creek Children’s Chorus. Lynnwood Community Band: The group plays the first-ever concert at the new Bothell City Hall Plaza at 3:30 p.m. May 14 at 18415 101st Ave. NE. Free and free parking at the City Hall garage. Bring a chair.
Everett Rock Party: Marc Tachell, the local online personality known as “Everett Rock,” is throwing a free all-ages party featuring five bands from 3 to 11 p.m. May 14 at the Golf Range and Lounge, 1215 80th St. SW, Everett. The bands are Body Electric, Moon Daddy, The Rooners, Medicine Hat and The High Council. More at everettrock.com.
Stacy Jones: The local Southern Rock queen is playing a free all-ages concert at 11 a.m. May 15 at Main Stage, 900 First St., Snohomish. More at www.stacyjonesband.com.
West African Kora Music Hear the music of West Africa when Sean Gaskell performs at 2 p.m. May 15 in the Everett Public Library Auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Admission is free. Gaskell performs traditional songs on a 21-string harp called the Kora, featuring the music of the Mande people, who live in Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
Mukilteo Community Orchestra: The last 2 p.m. matinee of the season is May 22 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. More at www.mukilteoorchestra.org.

The chorale’s 50th anniversary season continues with “Celebrate and Sing” at 7 p.m. June 11 and 3 p.m. June 12, featuring a collage of American choral music from the chorale’s 50-year history.
