After a bike ride or a day with friends, kick back over a brew or two at a neighborhood pub or waterfront taproom where summer seems to linger a little longer.

Here’s a six-pack of places around the region:

Diamond Knot Brewery & Alehouse

621 Front St., Mukilteo

Pair a craft beer or house-brewed root beer with a giant cheese-and-bacon-stuffed potato Knot Tot at this waterfront hangout near Mukilteo’s Lighthouse Park. Crack open free peanuts and toss the shells on the floor — it’s encouraged. You can also order peanut butter on a burger if feeling adventurous.

With ferries gliding in the distance and beach traffic drifting by, this is the place to refuel after a walk in the sand or a sightseeing spin.

The Hollywood Tavern and Woodinville Whiskey Co.

14501 Woodinville-Redmond Road, Woodinville

Order a double shot of fun at this Woodinville corner, where a tavern and distillery share a parking lot for an easy, irresistible two-for-one. Sink into a patio seat and go all in on the tavern’s signature boozy milkshake spiked with Woodinville Whiskey, served in a mason jar with a bacon-strip stirrer.

Next door, sip through a tasting or pick up a bottle. Tours are available at select times.

Make a day of it in Woodinville wine country. Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery anchors the scene (and hosts big-name outdoor concerts), surrounded by dozens of tasting rooms in the Hollywood District. No red carpet attire required.

Scuttlebutt Brewing

1205 Craftsman Way, Everett

At the Port of Everett, grab a front-row seat to the marina where sailboats bob in the slips and the Olympic Mountains glow in the distance. Watch the sun dip toward the water with a lager or IPA and menu of Northwest comfort food. This is summer in a pint glass.

What better way to cap off a day at Jetty Island. Sand still on your shoes and a cold drink bring it all together.

In The Shadow Brewing

102 E. Division St., Suite 102, Arlington

Ride the Centennial Trail, hop off near downtown Arlington and walk a block east to this cozy taproom to toast the golden light of summer. Bring the kids and dog.

A special beer, a Citra-hopped hazy IPA called The Alley, was named for a nearby bowling alley and restaurant. When was the last time you rolled a strike?

Madison Avenue Pub

905 Madison St., Everett

Enjoy burgers, brews and blues at this neighborhood favorite with 24 beers on tap, 20 TVs and 61 pull tabs.

Classic burgers are half-price on Tuesday, served with a heap of fries. From breakfast to brownies to prime rib, the menu has you covered.

Musicians take the stage six nights a week, playing jazz, blues, rock and reggae. Tap your foot, sway from your seat or hit the dance floor. Bring your Qwirkle game and turn it into a full-on competition between sets.

Double Bluff Brewing Co.

121 Second Street, Langley

Locals and visitors blend together at this gathering spot in the heart of downtown Langley. The vibe is as chill as a lazy Whidbey Island afternoon, with live music, outdoor tables and an on-site food truck. Ice cream, pie and chocolate desserts are steps away.

Pull up a patio seat and settle in for some of the best people-watching on the island. With a drink in hand and nowhere in particular to be, it’s easy to let time drift by.
