Clematis ‘Bushy Blue Bell’

What: Clematis integrifolia “Caerulea,” commonly referred to as Clematis “Bushy Blue Bell,” is native to China and a perfect selection for either containers or borders. It is a bushy non-climbing plant with graceful nodding flowers that sport petals that are 2 to 3 inches long. Also interesting is its growing habit whereby some stems stand tall and erect while others sprawl. The real draw of this plant is its color, which is sought after by many gardeners. Its beauty would only be enhanced by yellow or orange companion plants such as roses, lilies and dahlias, and due to its size it would work well planted in front of these taller companions.

Where: This clematis requires full to part sun to grow strong stems.

Size: 1 to 2 feet tall and 2 to 4 feet wide
