Taste and sip at Voracious Tasting & Awards event in Seattle

Are you Voracious?

Our sister publication, Seattle Weekly, is putting on its eighth annual Voracious Tasting &Awards from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 6 at Fisher Pavilion at the Seattle Center.

Seattle Weekly plays host to a stellar lineup of old and new favorites for a night of foodie festivity. This year the event features two new liquor participants. Heritage Distillery is bringing its brown sugar bourbon — perfect for fall craft cocktails that will be made on-site by mixologists. Rumba will be mixing up drinks as well, using Puget Sound Rum. And, no Voracious event is complete without beer and wine. Expect to see Diamond Knot Brewing, Mac &Jack’s, Dru Bru, Beresan Winery and Wilridge Winery.

Bites from restaurants, food trucks and sweet shops will be served including modern Indian cuisine from Nirmal’s, grilled meats with knockout Middle-Eastern inspired sauces from Ciudad, and refined Japanese delicacies from Naka, Café Campagne’s classic French bistro fare, Poquitos’ killer Mexican munchies and Rhein Haus’ hearty German staples — perfect timing for Oktoberfest season.

Before entering the pavilion, check out four food trucks outside the entrance: Snout &Co., Wet Buns, Jemil’s Big Easy and My Sweet L’il Cakes. Whet your appetite while you wait, or grab a last-minute snack to go—if you have room left. You may not considering all the decadent desserts for the taking, courtesy of Bluebird Ice Cream and the newly-opened Shug’s Soda Fountain.

Tickets are $75 in advance or $85 at the door. More information is at www.ticketrocket.co/event/details/91356/voracious-tasting-food-awards.
