Awards
Gregory: Regional professional theater awards were presented Oct. 24 in Seattle. Village Theatre’s “My Heart is the Drum” collected awards for best actor (Jon-Michael Reese) and actress (Claudine Mboligkpelani Nako) in a musical. Village’s “Billy Elliot” got the award for best supporting actor in a musical for performances by Bryan Kinder and Quinn Liebling.

Red Curtain: Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts, a nonprofit arts education organization, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville. Auditions for “A Streetcar Named Desire” are Nov. 9-10.

Youth productions
Village KidStage: “Urinetown,” the Broadway hit musical, will be produced as an Everett TeenSelect show through Nov. 6 at Cope Gillette Theatre, Everett. For ticket and performance information, go to villagetheatre.org/everett/ks-urinetown.
Arlington High School: The comedy “Moon Over Buffalo” is on stage at 7 p.m. Nov. 3-5, 11-12, and 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at Byrnes Performing Arts Center, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Tickets are $10, or $8 for seniors and students.
Cascade High School: The classic “Our Town” will be performed at 7 p.m. Nov. 10-12 and 17-19 in the Bear Space Theater in the cafeteria at the high school, 801 E. Casino Road, Everett.
Ballet
Olympic Ballet Theatre: The Edmonds company’s 36th season opens with “The Nutcracker” Dec. 9-11 at the Everett Performing Arts Center and Dec. 15-18 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. The full-length romantic ballet “Giselle” will be performed April 8 at the Everett Performing Arts Center and April 29 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Alderwood Dance Spectrum: “A Storybook Nutcracker” performances are 9:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Dec. 8, 9:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 9, and 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at the PUD auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett. Tickets, $20 each, are available in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com.

Everett Comedy Night: Emory’s on Silver Lake, 11830 19th Ave. SE, Everett, hosts a second-Sunday monthly comedy night with Cory Michaelis. Tickets are $10.
