Drivers needed
Concern For Neighbors Food Bank in Mountlake Terrace seeks volunteers to drive or ride on its trucks to pick up grocery store donations. Drivers and riders should be at least 25 years old, able to lift at least 40 pounds, and have a good driving record. Drivers are needed 7:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and some Saturdays. Name that school: The Mukilteo School District seeks name suggestions for its latest school building, under construction behind Fairmount Elementary. The new school will house kindergarten classes.
Local school board policy says schools can be named for people, places or things that have attained national or local prominence. The name should be significant to the community and not conflict with other area school names, nor be named for a living person.
District residents are encouraged to submit ideas by Nov. 25 to webmaster@mukilteo.wednet.edu. A committee will review suggestions and make a recommendation to the school board.
