Artist Jackie Wilson of Oklahoma this week delivered to Imagine Children’s Museum a wood horse similar to the pony she is working on in this photo. The horse is now in the Rise and Shine Farm exhibit at the museum. Wilson gained international attention when one of her rocking horses was purchased as a birthday gift to the royal tot Prince George.

Neighbors: Enjoy a free evening of family fun with the telling of the Coast Salish tale, “Her First Basket,” told in Lushootseed and English and followed by a craft activity at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Red Curtain Center for the Arts, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville. Holiday market: The Edmonds downtown holiday market is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12 to Dec. 17 near City Hall. Included is musical entertainment and a Santa photo booth. The tree-lighting event is Nov. 26 in the same location on Fifth Avenue across from the Edmonds Historical Museum.

Model trains: The Swamp Creek &Western Railroad Association’s annual holiday open house is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 3 in the former baggage room of the Edmonds train station, 210 Railroad St., Edmonds. Model trains are a traditional, enduring fixture of the season. The layout features 400 feet of HO scale track. the train passes through miniature towns and detailed scenery. Guardians must maintain a presence while their children visit. The railroad association formed in the mid-1970s shortly before moving into the south end of the Amtrak depot. Admission is free.

Sherlock Holmes: The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes is at the Pacific Science Center at the Seattle Center. The exhibit, which runs through Jan. 8, combines science with history and culture to bring to life the underpinnings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories. More at www.pacificsciencecenter.org.

Woodland Park Zoo: The zoo’s annual turkey toss is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19. Many of the zoo’s carnivores — wolves, lions, bears, monkeys — will be treated to fresh turkey meat. Enter the zoo through the west entrance at Phinney Avenue N. between N. 55th and 56th streets. Admission is $13.75 for ages 13-64, $9.25 for ages 3-12, and free for toddlers. Parking is $6.
