A Christmas Spectacular: The Dorothy Jayne Foundation, under the direction of Dr. Sanford Wright, presents its 16th Christmas Spectacular show at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave. Proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Admission is $20 and cans of food. Performers include pianist Kyran Adams, soprano Megan Chenovick, baritone Vistor Benedetti. Also on Dec. 21 at the Moore Theater in Seattle. Starlight Beach Walk: The Cama Beach Foundation offers this event at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at Cama Beach State Park, 1880 SW Camano Dr., Camano Island. Meet at the break in the seawall at the south end of the beach. Bring flashlights, extra batteries, your Discover Pass for parking, and dress for the weather.

Santa storytime: Mill Creek Town Center’s University Book Store, 15311 Main St., offers its annual story time with Santa at 11 a.m. Dec. 14 at the store. Santa Claus will read “The Night Before Christmas.” Bring your camera.

Edmonds holiday market: The Edmonds downtown holiday market is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Dec. 17 near City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N. Included is musical entertainment and a Santa photo booth.

Antique toy exhibit: Edmonds Historical Museum, 118 Fifth Ave. N; open 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, earlier on market days; www.historicedmonds.org. “Once Upon a Toy” exhibit features toys that might have appeared under Christmas trees during the past century. Imagine Children’s Museum: Located at 1502 Wall St., Everett. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Mukilteo Festival of Trees: The first-ever festival showcasing decorated Christmas trees is on exhibition through Dec. 31. A reception is 7-9 p.m. Dec. 10 at Harbour Pointe Senior Living, 10200 Harbour Pl. The holiday-themed party has egg nog, apple cider, Christmas cookies, village carolers, holiday songs and dancing. Darrington’s Santa’s Can-to-Cane Exchange: At 5 p.m. Dec. 20, watch for Santa and Mrs. Claus touring the streets aboard a decorated fire truck. They will collect donations for the Darrington Food Bank and pass out candy canes. After their tour, join the Claus couple from 7-8:30 p.m. for pictures and hot cocoa, 4-Corners Cafe, 1080 Seeman St.

Bothell Tree Lighting: Santa arrival, tree lighting, music and activities, 5-7 p.m. Dec. 4, Main Street, downtown Bothell.

Mukilteo YMCA Santa Breakfast: Santa will be at Anthony’s Seafood Grill at Alderwood Mall, 3000 184th St. SW Suite 870, Lynnwood, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 10. Proceeds benefit the YMCA. Tickets are $5 for children, $20 for adults. Reserve a spot by calling 425-771-4655.

“A Night of Christmas Jingles”: This free community program is 6 p.m. Dec. 11, Hidden Meadows, 11905 Springhetti Road. Be ready to sing and bring canned food or a new, unwrapped toy for food banks and Boys &Girls clubs. April VanAssche and the Snohomish Kiwanis Club continue to host this annual event, which includes carols, story time for kids, cookies and desserts, a photo booth and a visit from Santa.

Afternoon with Santa: A Camano Island tradition, 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 13, Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road. Sip cocoa, decorate a cookie, make a Christmas craft, and visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus and Mr. Bear. Bring your camera.

Arlington Nativity Festival: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Smokey Point offers its fifth annual festival, with nativity scenes from all over the world. See the displays 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 9, noon to 9 p.m. Dec. 10 and 3 to 9 p.m. Dec. 11 at 17222 43rd Ave. NE, Arlington. Music is included at 7 p.m. Dec. 11.

Sherlock Holmes: The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes is at the Pacific Science Center at the Seattle Center. Holiday Ziplight Tour: The Kristoferson family is offering a special deal at their Canopy Tours Northwest zipline at their farm on Camano Island.
