Edmonds School District gets human rights award

The Edmonds School District’s diversity, equity and outreach department will be honored at the Snohomish County Human Rights Commission celebration of International Human Rights Day Saturday.

The Educators Award was one of five awards presented at the celebration event Saturday at the Everett Labor Temple’s Warren Rush Room, 2812 Lombard Ave., Everett.

The Human Rights Commission presents the Educators Award for contribution through education, prevention, and the advancement of human rights in Snohomish County.

The school district’s diversity, equity and outreach department was established in 2013.
