Food Truck Friday, a recurring event, continues today in downtown Everett during lunchtime at 2710 Wetmore Ave.

Charrette in Sultan: The mayor is inviting people to the Business and Tourism Promotion Charrette from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Sultan Community Center, 319 Main St. The city is working on a program to market Sultan, attract and support businesses and boost tourism. The charrette is meant to be an intense period of designing, planning and sharing ideas. Space is limited and people are asked to RSVP to the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce by calling 360-793-0983 or emailing debbie@skyvalleyvic.net.

Book sale: The Friends of the Marysville Public Library plan a book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St. Hardback books cost $1, paperbacks are 50 cents and children’s books are 25 cents. All proceeds go toward scholarships for local high school seniors. For more information, call 360-657-4061.

Volunteers: Adult volunteers are needed to assist middle and high school students with service projects Jan. 16 for a Day of Service to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Service hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A training session is 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at United Way, 3120 McDougall Ave., Everett.
