CLEARVIEW — At least a dozen cars went off the road along a short, icy stretch of 180th Street SE early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters arrived at the intersection of 87th Avenue SE and 180th Street SE shortly before 6 a.m., according to the Fire District 7 press release.
Reports came in about a two-car collision. A person was said to be trapped in a car.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that an additional 10 or so cars had slid into the ditch.
Emergency responders believe that only one of the cars had been involved in a high-speed collision, FD 7 spokeswoman Heather Chadwick said.
The driver of that car was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
No one else was injured.
