Arlington firefighter and paramedic Steve Daggett was honored by Harborview Medical Center’s Paramedic Training Program with the Chief Jack N. Richards Most Inspirational Paramedic Student Award.

The annual award gives a cash gift to the most inspirational paramedic student, as determined by the student’s peers and instructors.

“During his training at Harborview, Steve consistently demonstrated professionalism, respect and empathy towards the patients he cared for while learning paramedicine,” Dr. David Carlbom said at a graduation ceremony. “Many who worked with Steve this past year noted how he had great endurance and would push through tough times. Steve always cracked a smile with his colleagues and offered a word of support or comfort.”
