Guitarist Jesse Cook: Considered one of the most influential figures in “nuevo flamenco” music, Cook incorporates rumba, jazz and flamenco into his music. He performs at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave N. The concert is nearly sold out. Call 425-275-9595.

Jocelyn Pettit Band: The group performs at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tickets are $15. Pettit is a Canadian fiddler, step dancer, composer and vocalist in the style of new Celtic.

Washington Old Time Fiddlers Jam: Join the acoustic jam or listen to the group that meets at 5 p.m., on second Fridays at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. Celtic jam is first, workshop 6 p.m., circle jam at 7 p.m. Call Noel Lareau at 360-691-5907. The group also plans to meet Jan. 27.

“Growing Gardens with Song”: St. Aidan Episcopal Church offers a hymn sing at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the church, 1318 Hwy. 532, Camano Island. Steve Jensen will lead singers through centuries of hymns. The event, including pie and ice cream, is free, though a free-will collection will be taken for an organization teaching at-risk children to grow food. More at www.growinggardensforlife.org.

Everett Philharmonic Orchestra: Hear the orchestra’s annual Magnificent Mozart concert, 3 p.m. Feb. 12, First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Featured is flutist Janelle Janovich-Barrera performing Mozart’s concerto in D Major. More at www.everettphil.org.

Blues and Brews Thursdays: Marysville Kiwanis Club joins the city in offering blues music and brews from a local microbrewery from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursdays at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St.; 360-363-8400. $5 at the door. The entertainment continues with the Margaret Wilder Band on Feb. 16 and the Gin Joints on March 16.

Un-Wine-d Wednesdays: Live music and tastes of local wines are offered by Marysville Rotary from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on second Wednesdays at the city-run Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St.; 360-363-8400. Tickets are $5. Hear Swing Nuts Jazz, Feb. 8; and the Joan Penney Trio on March 8.

E&E Country Showcase: This new series at the Marysville Opera House kicks off with Liam Fitzgerald &The Rainieros at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at 1225 Third St., Marysville. Tickets are $10. Call 360-363-8400. Come ready to dance. On Feb. 25, hear Knut Bell &The Blue Collars.

Jazz at the Center: The series continues with Cory Weeds and jazz legend Harold Mabern at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Tickets $20. Wingtergrass Preview: The annual Wintergrass (mostly bluegrass) Music Festival Feb. 23-26 in Bellevue attracts musicians from around the world. Get a free preview of the fest at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 in the Edmonds Plaza Room, 650 Main St., above the Edmonds Library. Hear the band Old Growth Bluegrass, take part in a jam and bring your kids who want to check out a fiddle, mandolin, banjo or guitar. More at www.oldgrowthbluegrass.com.
