The 5th Avenue Theatre: Billie Wildrick (who graduated from Snohomish High School) leads the cast of “The Pajama Game,” which also includes Greg Stone (who graduated from Lynnwood High). The Tony award-winning musical plays through March 5 at the 5th. More information is at www.5thavenue.org.
Phoenix Theatre: The comedy theater is at 9673 Firdale Ave., Edmonds. “The Pirates of Penzance”: Here’s your chance to get carried away by the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players. Join the band of swashbuckling buccaneers, bumbling British bobbies, frolicsome Victorian maidens and the delightfully dotty “model of a modern major-general” for a rollicking romp over the rocky coast of Cornwall. This musical theater masterpiece will be performed in its original format at 7:30 p.m. March 11 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Tickets are $44 to $69. Call 425-275-9595.
Red Curtain: Red Curtain Arts Center, a nonprofit arts education organization, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school). Youth theater
Arlington High School: The classic Broadway musical “Guys and Dolls” will be presented March 3, 4, 10, 11 in the Byrnes Performing Arts Center at the school, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 for other adults. Madrona Children’s Theatre: The group presents Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka” from March 10-13 in the theater at Mountlake Terrace High School, 21801 44th Ave. W. Snohomish High School: “Les Miserables” will be performed May 4-14 in the school’s performance art center, 1316 Fifth St. In the meantime, students in the school’s theater club are encouraging community members to volunteer to help produce the musical. Dance
The Dance School: “I Love to Dance,” a studio performance of original choreography and solo works, will be performed at 4:30 and 7 p.m. March 4 in the Wilderness Room of the Henry M. Opera
Cinderella in Spain: Seattle Opera visits the Marysville Opera House to perform this operetta at 2 p.m. March 25, 1225 Third St. Admission is free, but reservations are required. Call 360-363-8400. This deceptively simple story is about the beauty of kindness, the power of compassion and the ugliness of mistreating others. Set in the city of Barcelona, it provides a lively, modern-day bilingual backdrop. The performance is hosted by the city of Marysville and the Marysville Library, with funding by the Gellerson Memorial Programming. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Don Giovanni: Pacific Northwest Opera offer the Mozart classic at 7:30 p.m. March 31, 3 p.m. April 2, 7:30 p.m. April 7 and 3 p.m. April 9 at McIntyre Hall on the Skagit Valley College campus, 2405 E. College Way, Mount Vernon. Tickets, $25-$59, are available at 1-866-624-6897 or pnopera.org.
