Miles Goodwin

7 p.m. April 12, University Book Store, Mill Creek

In his new book “Wall Street Smarts,” Goodwin presents a compilation and review of some of today’s best books for individual investors. The bookstore is at 15311 Main St.

Jeffrey Warren

Noon April 15, Edmonds Bookshop

A former Edmonds resident, Warren will talk about and sign copies of his new novel “Justifiable Homicide” at the shop, 111 Fifth Ave. S. The story is grounded in facts, but involves fictional characters involved in illegal drug trafficking. A computer wiz and an investigative reporter work to expose the drug business.

10 a.m. April 22, Camano Island Library

At an event sponsored by the Stanwood Camano America Association of University Women, the poet and non-fiction author will read from her book “A Woman Writing” and talk about the writing process. The library is at 848 N. Sunrise Blvd.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23, Uppercase Book Shop

Meet the children’s book author, who will be reading from and signing copies of his book, “The Fish Who Could Fly — A Tale of Self Discovery.” The bookstore is at 1010 Second St., Snohomish.

Judy Bentley

2 p.m. April 23, Everett Public Library auditorium

An author and a hiker, Bentley will talk about her 2016 book “Walking Washington’s History: Ten Cities” — which includes an entry on Everett and the 1916 Everett Massacre. A longtime instructor at South Seattle College, Bentley has written biographies for young adult readers. The library is at 2702 Hoyt Ave.

Bethany Reid

Noon April 26, Everett Public Library auditorium

A Gell Poetry Prize winner, Reid will do a poetry reading and then talk about the creation of poetry, with a focus on Emily Dickinson at the library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Reid’s book “Sparrow” won the Gell prize in 2012. After 25 years of teaching, including 17 years at Everett Community College, she now writes full time.
