ARLINGTON — A man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries Wednesday morning after a fire burned down a storage shed in Arlington.
Flames were reported around 6:10 a.m. The shed was being used as a living space, said Kristin Banfield, a city of Arlington spokeswoman. It was located a few feet from the main house in the 3500 block of 175th Place NE.
Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to the house, but the shed was a total loss, Banfield said.
The man inside was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Though serious, his injuries were not life-threatening, Banfield said.
The damage estimate was $5,000. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
