Sultan book sale
The Friends of the Sultan Library plan a book, media and bake sale from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the library, 319 Main St., Suite 100. Discount bag sales start at 3 p.m. All proceeds benefit library programs.
Marysville clean-up: The city of Marysville has scheduled its annual Clean Sweep for residents from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 13 ay13 at the Public Works office, 80 Columbia Ave. The city will dispose or recycle garbage, yard waste, scrap metal, clean wood, clean tires (no wheels), fluorescent light tubes and bulbs, electronics, clothing, household items and appliances, including the first 100 refrigerators or freezers brought in. Ladies tea: A Ladies Tea and Brunch Garden Tea Party is set for 1 to 3:30 p.m. June 17 at the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave. Tickets are $20, but ask about prices for larger groups and Red Hat Society members. Reservations are due June 1. Enjoy brunch, make a decorated garden hat, and hear music by Liz Tobin and Dean Gilchrist. Daughters and granddaughters welcome.
