Jesse Sykes and Phil Wandscher Duo: The Sweet Hereafter’s core members — singer/songwriter Sykes and guitarist Wandscher — perform in concert at 8 p.m. June 3, Cafe Zippy, 1502 Rucker Ave. Cost is $10-$15. The Seattle-based duo has been reviewed in Spin and Rolling Stone magazines and the New York Times. Folk, blues and orchestral pop with psychedelic stylings.

Marysville City Bands: A concert is set for 7 p.m. June 3 at the new Marysville Historical Society Museum, 6805 Armar Road near Jennings Park in Marysville. The museum opening is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The 7 p.m. concert is free, but donations collected will be split between the historical society and the band. Marysville City Bands is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering music in the community. The group’s summer band session runs 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, June 15 to Aug. 17 with concert on Aug. 18 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 7215 51st Ave. NE, Marysville, for musicians of all ages. John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party”: This touring tribute to stars of the 1950s — Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper — visits Everett at 8 p.m. June 3 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets start at $40. Call 425-258-6766. Hear classics such as “That’ll be the Day,” “Peggy Sue,” “La Bamba” and “Chantilly Lace.”

Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: The ensemble’s annual summer concert is 3 p.m. June 4, First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Love Songs, Folk Songs and Songs That Make You Smile: The benefit concert for the Patrick Castro Excellence in Vocal Music Scholarship for the Snohomish School District will be performed at 3 p.m. June 4 at Snohomish United Methodist Church, 6202 99th Ave. SE, Snohomish. Admission is by donation to the scholarship fund, which will be awarded to a senior student at Snohomish or Glacier Peak high schools. Performers include Common Ground (Joel Cummings, Jon Cummings, Jeff Thoreson, Tom Lafferty and Pat Castro) and the Once-In-A-While Chamber Singers, also under the direction of retired Snohomish choir director Pat Castro. Former scholarship winners also are on the program.

Ugandan Children’s Choir: The choir will perform at 7 p.m. June 7 at Edmonds Lutheran Church, 23525 84th Ave. W., Edmonds. The concert — featuring vibrant costumes, African dance, song and drums — is free, but donations to the Imani Milele program for impovrished and orphaned children will be accepted. Sno-King Community Chorale: The chorale’s annual Ticket to Broadway program, under the direction of Frank DeMiero, features the music of “Fiddler on the Roof” at 3 and then again at 7 p.m. June 10 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Sonus Boreal: The women’s chorale presents its June 10 spring concert, A Musical Celebration of Earth, Love and Light, at 2:30 p.m. featuring the Totem Middle School choir and again at 6:30 p.m. featuring the Evangel Classical School choir. Both performances are at the Red Curtain Center for the Arts, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school). Everett Music Initiative: The EMI 5th Birthday Bash, featuring performances by Motopony, Bod, Belgian Fog, Nail Houses and Steel Beans, 6 p.m. June 10, Scuttlebutt Brewing Co.
