Man arrested after house on Whidbey Island burns down

WHIDBEY ISLAND — Police arrested a 48-year-old man after a house on Whidbey Island burned down and another was damaged Thursday.
The fire started around 6 a.m. in the 5700 block of Captain Vancouver Drive. No injuries have been reported, according to the Island County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect was taken into custody for investigation of arson.
