13-mile backup on I-5 due to Marysville brush fire

MARYSVILLE — A brush fire that burned alongside I-5 in Marysville on Tuesday afternoon caused troubles for the evening commute.
The fire started just north of 116th Street NE.
Cars heading north were backed up for 13 miles, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. After the fire was extinguished, an additional half hour was added to the travel time between Everett and Marysville.
