MARYSVILLE — An Arlington woman who was driving home from the Tulalip Resort Casino early Friday reported being robbed of her winnings at gunpoint.
Police are searching for the suspects.
The 54-year-old had won $1,500 Thursday night, said Shari Ireton, a spokeswoman with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The woman said she was traveling east on Highway 530 around 3:30 a.m. when she noticed a dark-colored sedan behind her. The car began tailgating her, and at one point attempted to push her off the road, the woman told police.
The woman said she pulled over and two men in ski masks stepped out of the sedan. She reported that one man pointed a gun at her and demanded money, Ireton said.
The suspects took off westbound.
“We want people to be aware of their surroundings and be safe,” Ireton said. “If you’re in danger, you can call 911 while you’re driving. The distracted driving law goes out the window when you’re in danger.”
