HEADS UP
Be aware of Harvey scams
The Internal Revenue Service and other groups warn about fake charity scams after Hurricane Harvey. Criminals often look to take advantage of others’ generosity by impersonating charities, by telephone, social media, email and in person. Some fraudulent websites closely mimic real charities. Never give out personal financial information, and never give or send cash.
