Perelman, an award-winning blogger and New York Times bestselling author of “The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook,” thinks that cooking should be an escape from drudgery. She presents here more than one hundred impossible-to-resist recipes—almost all of them brand-new, plus a few favorites from her website. These are real recipes for real people with busy lives who don’t want to sacrifice flavor or quality to eat meals they’re really excited about. Her new book is “Smitten Kitchen Every Day: Triumphant and Unfussy New Favorites.” The shop is located in the Lake Forest Park Town Center.

An ordained minister, professor, pilot, outdoorsman and writer, Schoenhals shares an inspiring collection of stories from his life in his new book “Hikes, Flights and Lookout Stories.” These tales cover a grueling 50-mile hike on the West Coast Trail of Vancouver Island, a near-accident in a float plane on Quilcene Bay and a fire inside a fire lookout station during a lightning storm. The store is in the Mill Creek Town Center.
