Chicken dinner Sunday

A family chicken dinner is offered 12-2 p.m. Sunday at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington. Enjoy roasted chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw, vegetables, roll, drink — and homemade apple crisp for dessert.

Cost is $9, $8 seniors, $5 children younger than 12. Proceeds benefit senior center programs and services. Enjoy entertainment by Doug Williams, too. Bring canned goods for the food bank.

Life as a woman at the front

Historian and actress Tames Alan portrays “Women At the Western Front,” 2 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. The program portrays women’s experience working on the Western front of World War I. Alan will wear uniforms of the era.

The stories we tell

Three storytellers share multicultural folktales at “Stories of Self and Solidarity,” 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St. Explore how the stories we tell shape our individual and community identities. Create your own take-home storybook, too.

This all-ages event aims to build community. Refreshments provided. Sponsored in part by the Edmonds Diversity Commission.
