Fun with leftovers

The week after Thanksgiving is always full of leftovers. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to the Mukilteo Library at 3 p.m. Nov. 28 to pull out all the library’s leftover art and craft supplies — and see what you can make. Snacks and prizes, too.

Curiosity Academy classes bring STEM experiences to school-age kids at the Snohomish Library, 311 Maple Ave.

– “Detectives,” 3 p.m. Dec. 1: Follow the clues to find out “whodunit.”

– “Just add water!” 3 p.m. Dec. 8: Grow your own jelly crystals, rainbow water beads, instant snow and make a pearl swirl ocean current in a bottle.

– “Make Your Own Magic,” 4 p.m. Jan. 5: Learn the science behind simple magic tricks and practice them.

– “Mystery Box,” 4 p.m. Jan. 12: A mystery STEM experience awaits.

Snowshoeing safety talk
