Arlington man severely injured in serious assault

ARLINGTON — A man suffered severe injuries in an assault this weekend in Arlington.
Police were called around 8:30 a.m. Saturday for what was at first reported as a stabbing in the 17000 block of 91st Street NE.
An ambulance took a man, 58, to an Everett hospital. He was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said Kristin Banfield, a spokeswoman for the city of Arlington.
No knife wounds were found on the man’s body.
Police dogs searched the neighborhood, but found no suspects. Detectives were still investigating Monday.
No other details were released.
