Orchestra teacher heads state music group

Edmonds-Woodway High School orchestra director Karen Helseth has been elected as the next president of the Washington Music Educators Association. WMEA represents over 1,500 music educators from around the state and runs the WMEA State Conferences, national music educators division conferences, All-State and All-NW Honor Groups, and the WIAA/WMEA State Solo-Ensemble contest.
