Washington State Patrol Trooper Brian Zillmer, who volunteers at the Marysville Community Food Bank, was recently named a Hometown Hero by KIRO Radio and WSECU, a distinction that came with a $2,000 grant to be given to a winner’s charity of choice. Zillmer donated the grant to the food bank’s Food for Thought backpack program for students who may not have meals over the weekends.
