Emma Fortney, IF, Lake Stevens

Fortney, a junior, hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning of Jackson’s Iyanla Pennington to give the Vikings a 3-1 win over the Timberwolves in a matchup of Wesco 4A’s top 2 teams.

Will Wentz, 1B/P, Lake Stevens

Wentz, a senior, socked a two-run, walk-off double to score the tying and winning runs in the Vikings’ 7-6 win over Jackson in a Wesco 4A matchup.

Monroe baseball pitching staff

Five Bearcats pitchers (freshman Ryan Lynch, junior Chase Sager, junior Russ Cochran, freshman Luke Zmolik and senior Connor Spahman) worked with junior catcher Kegan Velie to hold Glacier Peak to one hit in a 9-0 Wesco 4A win.

Jesse James Martineau, 1B, Mountlake Terrace

Martineau, a junior, hit a walk-off RBI single to lift the Hawks to a 2-1 win over Bellingham in a 2A District 1 play-in game.
