Iyanla Pennington, P, Jackson
Pennington, a junior Coastal Carolina commit, struck out 14 Glacier Peak batters in a 9-0 shutout, and went 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run and three RBI at the plate as the Timberwolves advanced to the 4A District 1 championship game.
Nathan Nicholson, F, Snohomish
Nicholson, a senior, scored four second-half goals, including three in a dizzying four-minute span, as the Panthers blew out Mount Tahoma in a first-round 3A state match at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Carmen Morrison, IF, Snohomish
Morrison, a senior, went 3-for-3 with a home run to help the Panthers hold off Marysville Pilchuck in an 8-6 win in a 3A District 1 semifinal victory.
Ciara Ortiz, SS, Edmonds-Woodway
Ortiz, a senior Western Washington signee, homered and made a tag on an Everett runner for the final out of a tense 4-3 3A District 1 semifinal that sent the Warriors to state.
