It’s just a drill: Naval Station Everett will get noisy

EVERETT — Sounds of gunfire may be heard around Naval Station Everett Wednesday afternoon.

The base will be working on security drills between 1 and 3 p.m.

People may hear blank rounds being shot, loudspeaker announcements and emergency sirens. There also could be flashing lights.

There may be more security than usual near the waterfront. Base access won’t be affected.
