Elks welcome veterans to their new homes

Everett Elks Lodge 479 distributed 23 “Welcome Home” packages to veterans who recently moved into housing. The packages contained new household goods valued at $200 each, including a set of pots and pans, kitchen bowls, plates, silverware, bath towels, bath mat, mop, broom, cleaning products and more.
The Elks plan to continue the program into the next year.
Veterans needing a package of household goods should contact the local VA Service Center for a referral. The service center is at 1010 SE Everett Mall Way, or call 425-252-9728.
