5-run 3rd lifts AquaSox over Canadians

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Matt Sanders hit a bases-clearing double in the third inning, leading the Everett AquaSox to an 8-1 win over the Vancouver Canadians on Thursday.
The double by Sanders came in the midst of a five-run inning and gave the AquaSox a 4-1 lead. Later in the inning, Cal Raleigh hit an RBI double, scoring Sanders.
The AquaSox later added a run in the sixth and two in the seventh. In the sixth, Ryne Ogren hit an RBI single, while Bobby Honeyman hit an RBI double and then scored on a single by Connor Kopach in the seventh.
Penn Murfee (3-2) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief while Vancouver starter Jose Espada (3-7) took the loss.
Tanner Kirwer tripled twice for the Canadians.
