Drivers trapped in vehicles after two-car crash in Everett

EVERETT — A two-car collision shut down Evergreen Way around the 7100 block on Wednesday evening.

Both drivers, who appeared conscious, were trapped in their vehicles and had to be cut free by first responders. That work began shortly after 6 p.m.

The victims were taken to area hospitals.

The extent of their injuries were unknown.

Both cars, which were coupes, were heavily damaged in their fronts.

Everett police did not immediately return a phone call for more information.
