The Friends of the Arlington Library holds its annual membership drive and book sale, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the Arlington Library, 135 N Washington Ave. Proceeds support a storage shed fundraiser. Join and get a free gift.

Marybeth Dingledy talks about her spring trip to Nepal at the next Brown Bag Senior Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. Dingledy has served as a Snohomish County Superior Court judge since 2012 and is an active mountain climber.

Keeping horses happy in winter
“Horsekeeping in the Winter Wet” will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at a Stanwood area farm. Snohomish Conservation District’s Michael Hipp and other local experts will share tips to prep for winter hazards, combat muck and prevent illnesses and behavior issues. Free. Open house at the Grange
Cedar Valley Grange 306 holds an open house, noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. The Grange is at 20526 52nd Ave. W, Lynnwood. There will be an antique car show in the parking lot and “Elvis” will be in the house at 1:15 p.m. Refreshments provided.
Nonperishable food donations will be accepted for the Lynnwood Food Bank.
