Trumpeter swan talk

Learn about the life history and biology of Washington’s native trumpeter and tundra swans at a Camano Wildlife Program, 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Island County Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive.

Children and families can come to the Arlington Library on Saturday for some “Squishy Science” with a DIY stress toy activity, 2 p.m. at 135 N Washington Ave. Learn to use the power of polymers to make your own stress relief toys that can help you relax and focus.

Granite college fair

Granite Falls High School will host a college and career fair from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Invitations have been sent to several universities, colleges, military personnel and other agencies in Granite Falls. In addition, there will be a financial aid scholarship and FAFSA review session from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m.

Anti-trafficking tips

Hope Unlimited will hold an anti-trafficking session for parents and their children, 1 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Island Library, 848 N Sunrise Blvd. The event includes a speaker from Cocoon House and entertainment by a clown.

Festival of Trees

Providence General Foundation’s Festival of Trees will run Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 at the Tulalip Resort Casino, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd. The gala includes a series of events:

Nov. 27: Opening night and silent auction, 6 p.m., $65

Nov. 28: Free community open house, 1 to 6 p.m.

Nov. 30: Gala dinner and live auction, 6 p.m., $275 (register by Nov. 14)

Dec. 1: Teddy Bear Breakfast, 8:30-10:30 a.m., $30-$45 (register by Nov. 23)

Volunteers, sponsors and donations are welcome.

McD’s for Silver Lake school

The McDonald’s restaurant at 3416 132nd St SE in Mill Creek will donate 20 percent of each food purchase made between 5 and 8 p.m. Wednesday to benefit the Silver Lake Elementary PTA of Everett.

Mattress fundraiser for Kamiak

The Kamiak Performing Arts Boosters hold a mattress sale fundraiser, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the high school campus, 10801 Harbour Pointe Blvd. Prices start at $275. A portion of proceeds benefits the club.

Join the parade

The 30th annual Merrysville for the Holidays Electric Lights Parade is accepting applications for parade participants. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1. The deadline to apply is Nov. 19. Parade awards are given for the Best Use of Lights, Most Creative, Best Big Rig and Mayor’s Choice.
