Silvertips’ win streak ends with loss to Winterhawks

PORTLAND — The Everett Silvertips lost to the Portland Winterhawks 5-2 on Friday at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, snapping Everett’s five-game win streak.
Jalen Price scored a goal for Everett in the first period to tie the game at 1-1.
The Winterhawks scored the game’s next three goals to take a 4-1 advantage before Sean Richards tallied the Silvertips’ second goal in the third period.
Everett’s Artyom Minulin had two assists.
Joachim Blichfeld recorded three goals and an assist for Portland.
Dustin Wolf made 23 saves for the Silvertips (15-7-0-0).
