Driving safety class in Arlington
An AARP Smart Driver defensive driving class is offered 9 a.m.-1 p.m. the second Tuesday to Wednesday every other month at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington. Cost is $15 AARP members, $20 non-members. Sign-up required.

Head injury support groups
Support groups for brain-incident survivors and their caregivers meet regularly across Snohomish County.
An Edmonds group meets 6:30-8:30 p.m. first Tuesdays on the second floor of Swedish Edmonds Medical Center, 21601 76th Ave. W. Contact: Lou Nash, 425-776-7264 or lou_nash@frontier.com.

MEETINGS
The Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission next meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 14. The City Council next meets at 7 p.m. Jan. 17.
The Stanwood-Camano School District Board of Directors will meet at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 15. An executive session will begin at 5:17 p.m. for approximately 45 minutes to review the performance of a public employee. The regular meeting will resume at 6 p.m.
The Edmonds Economic Development Commission meets at 6 p.m. Jan. 16 at City Hall. Agenda topics include 2019 priorities. The next meeting is set for Feb. 20. Meanwhile, the city’s cemetary board meets at 4 p.m. Jan. 17. Agenda topics include event planning.
The Edmonds School District board plans a study session at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 15 at 20420 68th Ave W, Lynnwood. The regular meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. Topics include field trip approvals, out-of-area endorsements and an electronic reader board at Terrace Park School in Mountlake Terrace. The city is involved in the reader board effort. The district’s next meeting is Jan. 29.
FEEDBACK WANTED
Everett residents are being asked to participate in a public safety survey. The results will be incorporated into the police department’s updated strategic plan. The survey, which can be found at www.everettwa.gov/EPDplan, will be available through the end of January.
