University of Washington guard Jaylen Nowell is one of 10 finalists for the 2019 Jerry West Award.

The award recognizes the top shooting guard in college basketball.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the finalists Tuesday. The winner will be revealed in April.

Nowell, a sophomore, leads the Huskies in scoring (16.6 points per game) and assists (3.4), and is second in rebounding (5.4). He’s also shooting 52 percent from the field and 45 percent from 3-point range.

The other finalists for the award are Jarron Cumberland (Cincinnati), RJ Barrett (Duke), Justin Wright-Foreman (Hofstra), Quinndary Weatherspoon (Mississippi State), Tyus Battle (Syracuse), Jarrett Culver (Texas Tech), Phil Booth (Villanova), Kyle Guy (Virginia) and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Virginia Tech).
