Schedule of special film screenings in Snohomish County

Edmonds Diversity Film Series: Six free screenings of topical films on themes related to diversity, inclusion and equity on third Saturdays at noon at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St., Edmonds. Sno-King Meaningful Movies: See “Reversing Roe” at 6:30 p.m. March 9 at the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 8109 224th St. SW, Edmonds. The documentary takes a historical look at Roe v. Edmonds Center for the Arts Film Cabaret: The 2004 film “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” is showing at 6:30 p.m. March 22 at the center, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. This Wes Anderson comedy is a quirky tale about an oceanographer chasing a killer shark. With Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Cate Blanchett, Anjelica Houston and Willem Dafoe. Silent Movie and Pipe Organ Night: The silent film “Speedy” originally scheduled for Feb. 1 has been rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. March 16. Chronically unemployed Yankees fan Harold “Speedy” Swift (Harold Lloyd) dates Jane Dillon (Ann Christy), a girl whose beloved grandfather, Pop (Bert Woodruff), runs a failing horse-drawn trolley business, in a rapidly changing city where the railway is becoming king. See the 1922 smash hit “Robin Hood,” starring Douglas Fairbanks and Wallace Beery, at 7:30 p.m. March 29 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. It was the first motion picture to have a Hollywood premiere and one of the more expensive films of the 1920s, with an estimated budget of $1 million. Call 425-258-6766.
