LYNNWOOD — A fire at a mobile home north of Lynnwood hurt the man living there and a firefighter early Tuesday morning.

Shortly after midnight, a neighbor reported seeing flames coming from a double-wide mobile home in the 14300 block of Admiralty Way.

There were no working smoke alarms inside the house, according to South Snohomish County Fire. A county sheriff’s deputy woke up the mobile home’s resident, who was hospitalized with smoke exposure.

A South County firefighter had a minor injury and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Within 30 minutes, the fire was down, but left the home ruined.

Investigators determined the fire started outside of the home and that it appeared to be an accident, but continue to investigate.

The American Red Cross is helping the man.
