Marilyn and Abby couldn’t be more different — and they’re forced to share a room at a retirement home. The adversaries try to out-prank each other in a wager over who will move out and who gets the bed by the window. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for students, seniors, military.

See “The Addams Family,” a musical based on Charles Addams’ macabre family, April 12-May 5. “The Mikado”: New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players present the comic opera in two acts 7:30 p.m. April 13 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Red Curtain: The Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave., Suite J, Marysville (in the Goodwill shopping center, behind the Everett Community College cosmetology school); 360-322-7402; redcurtainfoundation.org.“Lost in Yonkers” will be staged April 19 to May 5. A man deposits his two young sons on his mother’s doorstep in 1942 Yonkers, New York. After losing his wife, he is financially strapped and taking to the road as a salesman. The boys are left to contend with their grandma, plus an aunt and uncle who live with her. Shows are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $18 general and $15 students, seniors and military, $10 for children 12 and younger.

Village Theatre: Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.; 425-257-8600 or www.villagetheatre.org/everett. “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” will show April 26 to May 19. The sensory drama is based on the award-winning book of the same name. When 15-year-old Christopher is wrongfully accused of murdering his neighbor’s dog, he sets off to solve the mystery and prove his innocence. Tickets are $29-$69.

YOUTH THEATER

Come on a fantasy ride to a world of pure imagination as Roald Dahl’s world-famous candy man embarks on his quest to find an heir. “Willy Wonka Jr.,” staging April 5-21, features songs from the classic film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” — including “The Candy Man” and “Pure Imagination.” Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. SE, Snohomish. In turn of the century London, a magical nanny employs music and adventure to help two neglected children become closer to their father. Lake Stevens High School: The high school presents “The Fantasticks” at 6:30 p.m. April 25-27 and May 1-4, at the Calvary Chapel, 9428 Fourth St., Lake Stevens. The musical is loosely based on the play “The Romancers,” concerning two neighboring fathers who trick their children into falling in love by pretending to feud. Olympic Ballet Theatre: The Edmonds-based ballet company will perform New Works at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. Reflections School of Dance: Youth United present “Celebrate Life” at 7:30 p.m. May 11 at Glacier Peak High School, 7401 144th Place SE, Snohomish. The 14th annual charity benefit show features performances by Reflections School of Dance teams. Proceeds go toward Dancers Against Cancer, as well as Youth Unlimited dance scholarships.
