Hot tickets: What to watch this week in prep sports

Five prep sports events to watch this week:
Softball: Everett at Marysville Getchell, 4 p.m. Tuesday. In the midst of its best season in program history, Marysville Getchell takes a 7-0 conference record into this Wesco 3A/2A showdown. Everett is 5-1 in league play, allowing just 1.7 runs per game in those six contests.
Boys soccer: Shorewood vs. Lynnwood, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Shoreline Stadium. Both teams are part of a logjam atop the Wesco 3A/2A standings, with Shorewood tied for second place at 21 points and Lynnwood in fifth with 19. These two teams have allowed just nine goals combined in 18 conference matches.
Baseball: Monroe at Cascade, 4 p.m. Tuesday; Cascade at Monroe, 4 p.m. Wednesday. This two-game series should factor significantly into the Wesco 4A title race. Cascade is atop the conference standings with a 5-1 league record, and Monroe is third at 4-2. Both teams allow less than three runs per game in conference play.
Softball: Glacier Peak at Jackson, 4 p.m. Friday. It’s a rematch of Glacier Peak’s 2-1 win last month, when Ashley Jacobson hit a walk-off home run to beat defending 4A state champion Jackson. The first-place Grizzlies are 6-0 in Wesco 4A play. Jackson is third in the conference standings with a 4-2 league record.
Track and field: Eason Invitational, 10 a.m. Saturday at Snohomish H.S. More than 100 teams — including numerous local schools — are slated to descend on Veterans Memorial Stadium for the 31st edition of one of the state’s most prestigious high school track and field meets.
