Hot Tickets: What to watch this week in prep sports

Some of the many prep sports events to watch this week:
Softball: Everett vs. Snohomish, 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Field (Everett). This showdown pits the two remaining one-loss teams in Wesco 3A/2A play. Both need a win to stay within striking distance of first-place Meadowdale, which sports an unbeaten conference record.
Baseball: 4A Wes-King Bi-District Tournament, Thursday and Saturday at various sites. The joint bi-district tournament between Wesco and KingCo begins with Thursday’s four play-in games. The winners advance to face Cascade, Monroe, Skyline and Inglemoor in Saturday’s quarterfinals.
Softball: Jackson at Lake Stevens, 4 p.m. Friday. Lake Stevens entered Monday tied with Glacier Peak atop Wesco 4A, holding a one-game lead over third-place Jackson. This pivotal conference clash is a rematch of the Vikings’ 4-1 win three weeks ago.
Baseball: 3A Northwest District Tournament quarterfinals, Saturday at higher seeds. Making its first district quarterfinal appearance since 2010, Everett hosts a to-be-determined opponent at 4 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium. Saturday’s quarterfinal winners move within one victory of reaching the state tournament.
